Who are we? and why are we telling you this?

There are many businesses these days that are internet based, such as we are. But some actually work out of their homes. We don't and we want to let you know that we're a real store.

We have overhead, such as rent and employees and we stock everything that we sell. Our shelves are filled with product, so when you order, we can ship them right out. And because we've been in the business for so long we have well established relationships with our suppliers, so that if we happen to be out of a product they will usually drop ship the item for us.

FX Warehouse opened shop in 1985. We moved a couple of times, first based in Daytona Beach, then in Orlando and now back to Daytona. We do NOT have an office in Orlando anymore. The owner, Thea, has been in the Industry all her life. Starting as a costume designer and selling makeup in her mom's costume shop in NJ. Our favorite subjects are Halloween, Horror and all things dealing in Special FX.


We're located in Florida. We're not open to the public however. Why?

We're located in a business park that doesn't allow walk in retail business. We did this for a few reasons, because it's a little cheaper, which helps you as we try to keep our prices as low as possible. And we're just too busy for walk in customers. We love you, but we just don't have the time to help you design your piece or give you advice. We used to and it took up a lot of time. Now we're too busy, and if we did that we wouldn't get your orders shipped out in time. Also, because of the nature of our business our products are stocked in warehouse order. Browsing our shop is not easy, as shelves of boxes and containers with no pricing will leave you wondering where things are.


Can you pick something up at our Warehouse?
Yes. Here's the rules:

Either place the order online at our website and send a separate email to makeuporder @ fxwarehouse.info to let us know you'll be picking it up. Our website Will charge you shipping but your card will not be put thru until we get it in our shop. We'll take off shipping costs. A fee of $6 for handling will be added to your order, however. We'll process your order and you'll be able to pick it up 24 hours after you place the order, not including weekends. For example, if you place the order on Saturday or Sunday you will have to wait until Tuesday, not Monday to pick it up. We'll send you an email to varify, which will include our address, you'll have to mapquest for directions. If our doors are locked, knock and we'll meet you at the door with your packed order.


A note about our makeup and supplies

Most of our customers are professionals. But many Newbies find us and we're glad to sell you product. but, FX Warehouse will not be held responsible for any use or mis-use of product. And because of the nature of our business there are absolutely NO Returns and NO refunds. Please do your homework before purchasing our products. If you need, we can get MSD sheets on some of the items we carry. Be aware that most makeups do Not have MSDsheet (Material Safety Data Sheets). We don't have the ones available to us on our website, as our site changes often, adding and changing product is costly. We don't have time to update MSDS. You can also do a google search for many and you'll find them handy on sites that specifically deal with MSDS.


There are many places to get free advice and help with product. We try to put as much informtaion as possible on our site, you'll see that in the products as you click on the item and in our How-To section and Message Board.
