HELPFUL HINTS FOR APPLYING MAKE UP TO FOAM LATEX PROSTHETICS

What makeup is recommended to use on foam latex prosthetics?
  • Applying GM's water based primer to the foam piece before makeup will insure your work stays on.

  • Rubber Mask Grease (RMG), a castor oil based cream makeup. Then powder over it to set and get rid of shine.

  • Aquacolors, which are water based - Using a barely damp sponge or brush apply to prosthetic and blend into skin. No powdering is necessary as it dries matt.
  • Alcohol Activated Makeup. See our section on applying Alcohol Activated Makeup.
