APPLYING A READY MADE WOUND (PROSTHETIC)

Supplies Used:
Ready Made Wound
  (we used ‘Woochie' Brand)
Spirit Gum
Cue Tips
Stage Blood or Blood Paste
Spirit Gum Remover

These are real easy to do, and quick.

Figure out where you want to attach the prosthetic. These pieces are made of latex and are quite flexible, but we suggest putting the larger pieces on an area where there isn't a lot of flex, like foreheads or cheeks. There are pieces that are smaller and work well on those areas.

With a cue tip apply the spirit gum to the skin where you want the wound attached. Go just a little past the ‘wound' area to make sure you catch the edges with the adhesive. You can apply some spirit gum to the wound also if you wish, although it is not necessary.

Lightly tap the spirit gum with your finger (gloves are recommended) to make the spirit gum set up a little and become tacky.

Place the wound on the spirit gum.

Apply a little stage blood or thick blood to the wound to make it more realistic looking.
